Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Chabli McDaniel, operating as Leave It To Chabli (the "Studio", "we", "us"), collects and uses personal information through the website at leaveittochabli.com (the "Site").

We are a small event-design studio based in Atlanta, Georgia. We don't sell personal information, and we collect only what we need to respond to inquiries, manage events, and run our business.

1. Information we collect

We collect personal information only when you provide it via one of our forms:

• Inquiry form: name, email, phone (optional), event type, date, location, estimated guest count, budget range, package interest, partner / co-host name (optional), how you heard about us, and anything you tell us in the free-text "story" field.
• Event guest book: name, email, message, and how you heard about the event page (optional).
• Event RSVP: name, email, attendance answer, plus-one name (optional), dietary needs (optional), and any message you include.
• Server logs: like most websites, our servers automatically record the IP address and timestamp of every request. We use this only for security and rate limiting; we do not associate it with any other personal information.

2. How we use the information

• To respond to your inquiry or RSVP.
• To plan and produce events you book with us.
• To follow up about your event after the fact (for example, asking how it went, or inviting you to leave a review). You can ask to stop receiving these at any time.
• To detect and block spam or abusive submissions.

We do not use your information for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

3. Who we share it with

We use a small number of third-party services to run the studio. Each receives only the specific information necessary for its function:

• Zoho CRM — we store inquiry submissions and (when an admin manually converts a guestbook signature or RSVP) the corresponding lead in our Zoho CRM account.
• Zoho Mail — admin notification emails go from a Zoho Mail mailbox.
• Zoho Catalyst — our website hosting and database provider stores submitted information.
• Google (favicon service) — for certain registry / wishlist tiles, we ask Google's public favicon service for an icon based on the destination URL's domain. No personal information is sent to Google.

We don't share personal information with anyone else without your consent, except where required by law.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small set of strictly-necessary cookies and browser storage:

• Event unlock cookies (lc_unlock_<slug>) — when you enter the password for a private event page, we set a signed cookie that expires after about 12 hours so you don't have to re-enter the password on every visit. The cookie is scoped to that single event.
• Theme preferences stored in your browser's localStorage — remembers which theme and typography pairing you chose, so the site loads in your preferred look on return visits.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If we add any in the future, we will update this policy and (where required by law) ask for your consent first.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep inquiry and event-related information for as long as it's useful for the relationship — typically up to 24 months after the most recent contact, unless you become a booked client (in which case we keep your event file longer for our records). You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate information;
• Ask us to delete your information;
• Opt out of future communications.

7. Children

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect submitted information in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (managed Zoho services). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to reduce risk.

9. Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the Site for a reasonable period.
